Gameday Hair Necessities

 Happy Victory WONday Lovelies!

After the Cowboys won last week I posted my make-up must have products. In honor of us getting the DUB yesterday and them heading back home for playoffs I thought I would post my must have HAIR products for a Dallas Cowboys Gameday! As a cheerleader, specifically a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, big hair completes the look-- and kudos to my mom because I learned from the best;) as she started rolling my hair when I was a tiny tot. I love curls and LOTS of volume and the most important thing for hair on gameday is getting it to stay while dancing for 3+ hours. I do plan on doing a hair tutorial whether it be on here, instagram, or me finally finding the courage of doing a YouTube, but for now, here are my trusty items of what I use to get that "everything's bigger in Texas" hair!

#1. I have been using this curling iron since my Rookie year auditions (comeback season) in 2019! My mom is convinced that I need a new one but I am refusing and holding out until it absolutely crashes on me LOL! I'm not a superstitious person but once I find something that I love and works that trust is built and I am not letting go. This Conair clamped curling iron of 1 1/4 in. has been that - my trusty friend through it all!

#2. Like I said in the intro, this is not a tutorial but the trick to maddening volume... PIN CURLS! I've tried the traditional metal hair pins, but my hair got very tangled when it was time to take them out and I switched to bobby pins! As a dancer I already know how to maneuver these well. But they are also very sturdy in keeping your pin curls in place while they cool and will not leave any creases! TIP: Buy a couple of packs--if you're like me--you'll most likely lose a bunch!

#3. Sebastian's hair spray! Wow! I didn't start using this until, I believe, after COVID! But it is A MUST HAVE! Two hair sprays are needed for gameday staying in place as long as possible and Sebastian's is a strong hold that does make your hair crunchy, wet, or sticky!!

#4. I think everyone knows of Big Sexy!! This is the first hair spray I use! And just like my eyebrows- DO IT IN REVERSE! My first spray of gameday hair is when I just finished pin-curling my hair. Right after before they have time to set and cool in their little curled up hair cocoons. I find putting the stronger hold of spray on before the final set and finish of your hair is the secret key... shhhh don't tell ;)

#5. I have just recently invested in this paddle brush! It. Does. Wonders! With my hair, wet or dry, it gets the tangles out without damage and/or ripping out chunks. Last year I noticed my hair was slowly thinning out and I wanted a brush that would be the most safe and healthy for it!

#6. With pin curls my hair already ends up with a lot of volume, so there is not a whole lot of need for me to tease my hair except for maybe a touch up here and there. I use a comb pick to smooth out the top and help set my curls without fully brushing them gone.

#7. If you struggle getting the volume, "big Texas hair", a teasing comb is a must have. Even though I may not use it every time I curl my hair, if I don't end up with the volume I want this will help get that extra bump in! I mainly use my teasing comb to tease my front "bangs" up and out of my face so they are lifted and won't fall in my eyes while dancing--another tip ;)

#8. I only use ONE of these (lol not four) to help separate my hair into sections while pin-curling my hair. I love that a big claw clip is back in style AND it's PINK!

I have linked all of my gameday hair necessities separately! Or you can head to my amazon page, GameDay Hair, where I have them all grouped together!! Telling y'all about my products gets me excited about doing a tutorial! Hopefully that will be next week's Victory Wonday blog post! <3

XOXO,

Victoria

Month of LOVE

Hi LOVElies! I took a hiatus and pause on the media forefront after the last Cowboys game. I like to take a moment to myself to decompress from the craze and nonstop that football season is. But NOWWWW.. we have entered into one of my favorite months - the month of LOOOVEEE. I love LOVE! I love cheesy rom-coms, I love meet cutes, I love the shape of hearts, I love pink and red together, I love LOVEuary! I feel like February has the same special vibes that December brings. When December hits, everyone seems to have a more cheery, jolly pep in their step, and when February hits you can feel the love and happiness within one another. Or to be super cheesy and cliché: There’s Love in the Air! But with that love, I also know that this particular month can be a hard time for those who are not with their loved ones, have lost a loved one, or are not feeling loved towards themselves. I hope and want everyone to feel the love this 2024 February!!! So! I challenge us all to spread more love this

Game Day Makeup Necessities

Hi Lovelies!  Being a professional dancer and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, I get asked so many questions about my make up... what products do you use, do you get it professionally done for game days, how do you get it to last all game, etc.. I am here to share all of the products that I use for my game day make up routine, and yes.. I do my own make up! To be quite honest, I know VERY little about make up, probably the bare minimum -  I don't know how to "bake" and it takes me about 10 minutes to put on a pair of false eyelashes even though I have been wearing them since I was 6! I am no expert- but I can say that practice does make better and I love continuing to learn new make up secrets! With all that practice I have found my absolute favorite items when needing to stay glam through a long football game! #1.  My foundation is from Clinque! Do not underestimate it—it is the best! It is very nat ural, no t heavy on the face when applying, and covers any and all blem

Day In The Life Of Game Day

Happy Victory Sunday Lovelies! I’m sure if you’ve been following me, you are used to the Dallas Cowboys Game Day posts! On the field-cheering-OBVIOUSLY!  But have you ever asked ‘What actually goes on during game day?’? Well!! If you HAVE- I’m going to give you a run down of exactly what yesterday looked like for me!  7:00AM - WAKE UP VICTORIA!!! IT’S GAME DAY!!  7:30AM - Pilates! I try to take pilates everyday! Even though today I’m already going to be getting so much movement in, pilates helps fire up those muscles and makes sure I’m centered for when game day begins!                        8:30AM - Time for brekky! I eat the same breakfast everyday… I know.. Don’t judge! But I know that I will have so much energy from it that I’m kind of superstitious about it…  -2 eggs with spinach and mushrooms  -apple -ezekiel english muffin  ** While I eat breakfast I love to watch the Today Show during the week (Shoutout to my guy, Craig Melvin), but since it’s the weekend I’m pu
